Fred Brewington to Serve as Panelist during Touro Law Center’s Annual Supreme Court Review
Fred Brewington of The Law Offices of Frederick K. Brewington will serve as a panelist at the Twenty-Ninth Annual Leon D. Lazer Supreme Court Review, which will take place on October 27 at Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in Central Islip.
The topic for the panel discussion will be “Civil Rights Litigation: A Discussion.” Mr. Brewington will join the presenter, Touro Law Center Professor Emeritus of Law Martin A. Schwartz, on the major decisions of the last term, including excessive force litigation, challenges to pretrial detention and Bivens claims against high federal officials based on alleged abusive and discriminatory treatment of post-9/11 detainees.
In addition to practicing law in the areas of civil rights litigation, including police misconduct, voting rights and employment discrimination, Mr. Brewington is an adjunct professor at Touro Law Center.
