Initially Mr. White was charged with violating Penal Law § 120.05 (2), Assault in the Second Degree and Possession of a Weapon in violation of Penal Law § 265.02(2). The felony charge was converted to a violation of §120.00(1) on May 12, 2016. The matter arises from an assault on Mr. White on October 22, 2015 by another man, who happened to be the brother of Mr. White’s wife.
